Drew was looking right into Merrill's eyes and could see nothing but pure love. He bent down and was about to kiss her when Marty walked in and interrupted the moment.
Marty: Drew! See... I knew you'd find her!
Drew broke away from Merrill, she was so upset! Her dream was about to come true and Marty had to ruin it! He ruins everything!
Marty: Gee Whiz guys! Did I come at a bad time?
Merrill: Drop-dead Marty!
Marty: Sorry can't do that! Already died!
Drew: Leave her alone!
Marty: Oh lover boy playing both sides! So the mortal isn't enough! You want to bag a vamp too! I wish I'd thought about that!
Drew: Shut up! You don't know what you're talking about!
Marty: Oh Okay! Sure whatever! Just a warning Merrill, your nothing to him, he'll break you and drop you!
Marty turned and walked away before Drew had a chance to cause some real damage!
Drew: Don't listen to him! I think he has a couple of screws missing in his head!
Merrill had a weird feeling that Marty was right, even though she couldn't trust the guy!
Merrill: Yea, um I have to get back to class I have a feeling Murdoch is going to be pissed!
Drew: Oh yea! I forgot! I'll be right there! I just got to calm down so I don't punch Marty's lights out when I see him!
Merrill: Okay.
Merrill turned around and walked away! She wondered if Drew would have kissed her if Marty haven't had walked in! Why the hell did he have to walk in!
Drew stood there.
It was a good thing Marty walked in, before I did something I would have regretted! He thought to himself. He didn't want Merrill, and he didn't know why! She was the right girl for him and she knew all his secrets, but somehow he knew that she wasn't the ONE!
He didn't know what he was going to do! How was he going to deal with Merrill! He didn't want to hurt her, but he didn't know how not to...
Mr. Murdoch: Why didn't you come back with Merrill?
Mr. Murdoch questioned as Drew came into the room.
Drew: Sorry, I had to umm...
Merrill: He had to make sure all the door were locked and no one saw me, so he told me to go ahead.
Mr. Murdoch: Oh I see! Well Merrill you and I will have words after class about the night's events.
Merrill: Yes sir.
Class began and afterwards Merrill went with Mr. Murdoch to his office to get no doubt a long lecture! The gang except for Marty who was off causing trouble was waiting to hear what had happened with Merrill and Drew.
Essie: So Drew! What's what?
Drew: What are you talking about?
Essie: You're so stupid... we know!
Drew: Marty! Why can't he keep his mouth shut?
Karl: Cause he gets off on bugging people and messing things up!
Essie: So dish, what happened?
Karl: Dish? What the hell is that?
Essie: Dish is to tell! God didn't you go to school?
Karl: I did, but not to learn how to be an oxy moron!
Essie: Shut up!
Essie walked away.
Karl: So... what happened?
Drew: God! I can't believe you!
Karl: Dude! You know I'll find out one way or another, so just tell me!
Drew: Fine, but this stays between you and I!
Karl: Yeah sure, sure whatever!
Drew: Well I found Merrill and we said some stuff and I was going to kiss her. But then Marty walked in, but I'm kind of glad! I don't know if I was going to kiss Merrill because I felt bad or because I have feelings for her! ...I just don't know!
Karl: Man you've got more problems than Essie on a bad hair day! Which is like everyday! Hahaha...
Essie from the other room. "I heard that!"
Karl: Opps!
Karl ran to the other room to beg Essie for her forgiveness!
Merrill comes into the room, after talking with Mr. Murdoch.
Merrill: Hey, where is everyone?
Drew: Oh hi, well Karl is in the other room begging Essie to forgive him for his comment about her hair and Marty. I don't know where he is and I don't care!
Merrill: Oh I see, so it's just you and me?
Drew: Yea!
Drew started to fell uncomfortable; he didn't know what to tell Merrill.
Merrill: So...
Drew: So...
Both of them were starting to feel uncomfortable. Marty appears in the room.
Marty: SO... (Both Merrill and Drew jump alittle, because they didn't except to see Marty) Wow! You guys have loads to say to each other!
Drew: Go away!
Marty: Why afraid I may let something slip?
Drew: What are you talking about?
Marty: The little kiss! Opps wait there was no kiss!
Merrill: I'm going!
Marty: Oh wait, you haven't heard the best part yet!
Drew: I swear if you don't shut you mouth Marty...
Marty: You'll what? Hurt me? Hahahaha!... I think Merrill deserves to know the truth don't you?
Drew: Just be quiet Marty!
Merrill: NO! What's the truth Marty?
Marty: Oh I don't know if I should tell...
Merrill vamped out and pushed Marty up against the wall.
Marty: Holy crap! Drew you better watch out, this one is frisky!
Merrill: Tell me NOW!
Drew: Merrill let him down.
Merrill: Drew stay out of this!
Marty: Oh now we got a little cat fight going on!
Merrill: Tell me!
Marty: Pushy!
Merrill tightened her grip on Marty.
Marty: Fine, FINE I'll tell you.
Drew: Marty don't!
Marty: No offense dude but I'm more afraid of her then you.
Merrill let Marty down and was waiting to prance on him again if need be.
Marty: Well, (Drew started to get mad, he didn't want Merrill to find out this way) you see our boy Drew here doesn't know...
Drew: STOP! I'll tell you Merrill.
Merrill: Well one of you better!
Marty: Good! Now does this mean that I'm off the hook?
Merrill: Ran fast!
Marty could take a warning he turned and was gone in a flash.
Drew: Not here, let's go out to the grounds.
Drew took Merrill by the hand and lead her outside. When they were a good distance away they sat down on the damp grass and Drew prepared himself to tell Merrill.
Drew: I don't know how to tell you this?
Merrill: It's easy you open your mouth and speak the words you need to say. (She said sarcastically)
Drew: I know that! It's just... it's just that I don't want to hurt you in any way, and you have to promise me you won't freak on me like you did Marty!
Merrill: Wow it's that big of a deal? Well... I promise, I would never hurt you.
Drew: Okay... Merrill I don't have feelings for you, at least not the feelings that you want me to have or you have for me!
Merrill looked down and was trying everything to keep her self from crying.
Merrill: I know.
She couldn't help it the tears just started to pour out.
Drew: I'm sorry Merrill, I don't want to see you cry and I don't want to hurt you.
Merrill: Why? Why can't I be your one?
Drew: I don't know...
Merrill: Is it because I'm not her? Because I'm not good enough for you?
Merrill turned around and started to walk away, but Drew grabbed her by the arm.
Drew: You know that's not true!
Merrill: THEN WHAT?
Drew: I don't know!
Merrill: Leave me alone! I just need to be alone!
Merrill started to walk away and Drew let her.
Drew: I'm sorry Merrill!
Merrill: (turned around) I know, I just need time. You've hurt me twice in one day! Congratulations Drew.
Drew didn't react to her last comment but just watched Merrill as she walked away into the darkness of the night. He knew that Merrill was mad, but she would get over it, he would just have to give her the time.
(That's all! I'm not going to write any more chapters for this story but I am going to start a new story and kind of combine the two storied into one, so that I can explain what happened after that night! I hope you like it, and please tell me how you feel about what happened or what you want to see happen in my new story. Thanks)
