The ship is rocked again. The Captain looks to the turbolift to see Trip, Mayweather, and Hoshi coming onto the bridge. Trip goes to the engineering station.
"warp and impulse engines are offline."
Archer turns to Lt. Reed.
"Keep firing back at them until we disable their weapons array."
"Aye sir."
"Hoshi keep trying to hail them"
"Yes sir."
Archer looks to the science station. T'Pol isn't there.
"Where's T'Pol?"
Trip looks over to the station and then looks at the Captain."
"No idea sir."
They are rocked again.
"Archer to T'Pol."
There is no response.
"T'Pol do you read?"
Still no answer. He looks at Trip. He starts working at the controls and then looks up.
"She's in her quarters captain. I don't know why she's not answering you."
He nods and then contacts the doctor.
"Yes captain."
"Doctor. Please go to T'Pol's quarters. She hasn't come to the bridge. She might be injured."
"Yes Captain."
"Captain. I have disabled their weapons array."
"Good job. Hoshi hail them again. Maybe they'll respond."
Hoshi nods and tries to hail them again.
"They are responding captain."
"On screen."
An alien with red skin and 4 antennas sticking out of his head appeared on the screen. He had 3 eyes and a grotesque looking mouth with only 3 teeth. His gums were disgusting, all black with little yellow spots.
He started speaking. He sounded like he was under water. He was pretty much screaming. Archer turned to Hoshi.
"I'm trying Captain."
Then they could understand.
"I'm sorry, would you repeat what you just said."
The alien looked agitated.
"I said. You have entered our space. We defend ourselves to outsiders. You don't belong here please go back."
"I'm Captain Archer. I was not aware this was your space. We are explorers. I'm sorry if we startled you."
"Please leave our space immediately or I will destroy your ship."
Then the screen went blank.
"What a charming fellow." Reed said
Archer laughs.
"Take us out of here Ensign."
"Yes sir."
Then the doctor hails the captain.
"Go ahead doctor."
"T'Pol is unconscious."
Archer looks at Trip. Trip has a concerned look on his face.
"How, doctor?"
"She hit her head on her table as we were attacked. I have her in sickbay. She has lost a lot of blood."
"OK. Thank you doctor. Keep me posted."
"Yes sir."
Archer sits in his chair and slumps. He thinks maybe he should go to sickbay to see for himself.
"Reed you have the bridge. I'll be in sickbay."
Malcolm nods and gets up. Trip gets up also.
"Captain. May I come also."
He nods and they leave. Tucker is silent all the way to sickbay. When they entered sickbay they were surprised at how many people were injured from the attack. They spot Phlox working on healing a broken leg.
"How is everyone doctor?"
He looks up and smiles at Archer and Tucker.
"They'll be fine. But T'Pol is the most critically injured one."
He leads them to her. She's lying on a bio bed with a town wrapped around her head. Tucker moves to her other side and touches her head. Archer looks at him.
"T'Pol has lost a lot of blood. I'm glad you contacted me when you did Captain or else she wouldn't have made it."
Trip and Archer look at each other and then at T'Pol. Trip holds her hand.
"Will she be alright?"
"She will be."
They nod and then leave. Trip makes frequent trips to sickbay to check on her.
"Hey T'Pol. I hope your doing OK. I'm really worried about you. I was worried when you came to the bridge."
He holds her hand. "Please wake up. I miss arguing with you. It's really fun, but I know you don't like it. I hope you'll be ok."
Doctor Phlox is watching, he knows Trip likes her.
2 days later T'Pol regains consciousness. She tries to sit up but lies back in pain. She touches her head and feels a towel on her head. The doctor comes up to her.
"How are you feeling?"
She looks at him.
"I have a headache. What happened?"
Just then Archer and Trip walk through the doors.
"Captain. What happened?"
"We were under attack by aliens. You hit your head."
"May I leave?"
"Sure."
She gets up. Archer goes and talks to the doctor. She looks at Tucker, he's smiling at her.
"What is it Commander?"
"Nothing. Just glad you're awake."
She looks at the doctor.
"May I return to my quarters?"
"Certainly. But come back tomorrow so I can check up on you."
"Yes sir."
Tucker leaves with her.
"T'Pol you really scared us. If the Captain didn't contact the doctor, we would have lost you."
She turns to him.
"Am I detected concern?"
He nods.
"You really scared me. I thought I'd never see you again."
She looks at him. She smiles a little. She goes into her quarters.
"Care to come in for a while commander?"
