Part Two

Trip leaves the bridge to find T'Pol. He decides to go to her quarters because that's the most likely place to find her. "I wonder what Kass said to her," he thought as he came to her quarters.

T'Pol was pacing her quarters getting more and more angry. She hears the chime and she tries to compose herself but is failing miserably.

"Come in."

Trip walks in and sees T'Pol pacing. She looks up at him.

"What do you want Commander Tucker?" She nearly spits at him. She grabs a glass cup and throws it at the wall, making a loud crash. She then turns to him when he doesn't answer.

"Commander I don't have all day. If you not going to tell me what you want, I'm going to push you out the nearest air lock." She yelled.

He puts up his hands in defense.

"I'm just here to see if you're alright. But by the looks of it your not."

She turns and grabs a vase and throws it again the wall, screaming in agitation. She looks around for something else to throw when Tucker grabs her arm.

"What is going on? I've never seen you like this. You can tell me, don't keep it all bottled up."

She turns to him with a very annoyed and angry look and shakes his hand away.

"Why the concern commander?"

He just looks at her for a minute.

"I'm your friend. I want to know what's bothering you."

"Leave commander." She says as calmly as she can.

"But-" She cuts him off.

"LEAVE!!!!!" She grabs something else and throws it against the wall to make her point.

He begins to leave but stops and hands her back the pad she left in the messhall.

"I thought you'd want this. I found it in the messhall."

She looks at it and takes it.

"I have a feeling you read it. You always seem to read what is not yours." She spits at him. She begins to pace again but Tucker doesn't budge.

"T'Pol."

She doesn't look at him but continues pacing.

"I want to know what Kass said to you."

She turns to him.

"You want to know. Ok. He said I'm a disgrace to my family and my heritage. That I don't care as much in Vulcan tradition, as my family. I should might as well be a human." She says growing more agitated, she starts pacing again.

"Did you really wish you left the ship to marry him?"

"Yes. But I remembered what you said, that I could make my own choices. And I didn't feel so bad until today."

"What are you going to do now?"

She stops pacing and just stands there with her hands behind her back and just stares out at the stars not answering the question.

He walks over and looks at the stars next to her.

"I want to help if I can."

"Then leave."

He looks at her.

"That's not an option. I've never seen so much emotion from you before. Maybe I can help you sort all this out."

She turns to him.

"Leave. I need to meditate."

"So you can purge the emotion you're feeling? That's not very logical."

"It's very logical. I'm volatile; I'm acting like a human. Anger is not something I want to experience." She turns to the window.

He says nothing and then tries to change the subject.

"That clam chowder was good wasn't it?"

"It was satisfactory."

He looks at her and sees she has calmed down a little bit.

"I can help you clean this up."

She turns to him and looks at the ground. She makes a loud sigh. She goes and grabs to cans and they start to clean. She picked up a piece of glass and cuts herself. She makes a little noise making Tucker look at her. He takes her hand and he feels a shiver go though him. He looks at her as he covers her hand with a towel to make it stop bleeding.

"You alright?"

She nods a little and looks at him. He's smiling at her. The corners of her mouth move up a little.

"I'll be damn. You can smile."

She's just looking at him, he leans in a little and is surprise she doesn't push him away. He kisses her and she kisses him back. He thinks, "I guess she really does like me."
